Terms of Service

Last updated Oct 17, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Infera Engine Ltd ("we", "us") for the use of Infera Ad Studio (the "Service"). Please read them. In particular, read section 6 (subscriptions renew automatically), section 7 (free trials), section 9 (your right to cancel) and section 11 (credits).

Key points

  • Paid plans are subscriptions. They renew automatically every month or year until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time in Settings → Billing. Cancelling stops the next payment; you keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • If you start a free trial, you will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. We remind you before the trial ends.
  • If you are a consumer, you can cancel a purchase within 14 days. Once you use credits or the service, you get back less, or nothing (see section 9).
  • Credits have no cash value. Unused credit packs can be refunded within 14 days of purchase.
  • AI and infrastructure usage already consumed is non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise (section 11, "Non-refundable AI and infrastructure usage").
  • Some purchases are sold by Paddle or Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Their buyer terms then apply to the sale.

1. About these terms

  • Who we are. Infera Engine Ltd is a private company limited by shares, registered in England and Wales (company number 17520775). Our registered office is 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. VAT number: [to be confirmed]. Contact: [to be confirmed]. Website: [to be confirmed].
  • What makes up the agreement. These terms, together with our Refund and Cancellation Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, AI & Advertising Policy, Privacy Notice and Cookie Notice.
  • Enterprise customers. If you sign an order form with us, the order form wins where it differs from these terms.
  • Consumer or business. You are a "consumer" if you use the Service wholly or mainly for purposes outside your trade, business, craft or profession. Otherwise you are a "business customer". Some sections apply only to one or the other, and say so.

2. The Service

Infera Ad Studio is an AI-assisted service that turns your product (a link to your website or app, or files you upload) into video advertisements, guided by a chat assistant. We capture your real product, propose a storyboard and an exact price, and produce the ad only after you approve. You can also publish finished ads to social accounts you connect.

3. Your account

  • You must be 18 or over and give accurate details, including billing details such as your country and, for businesses, your tax number.
  • Each account is for one person. Do not share your password or sign-in. Invite teammates to your workspace instead (section 4).
  • Keep your sign-in details secret. We recommend you turn on two-factor authentication. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • If you use the Service for a business, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that business to these terms.

4. Workspaces, teams and seats

  • Your account works inside a workspace. The person who creates a workspace is its owner. The workspace holds its plan, credits, brands, ads and connected social accounts.
  • You can invite members up to the number of seats in your plan. Each seat is for one named person. To add more people, upgrade your plan.
  • Members have a role. Owners and admins manage billing and the team. Owners, admins and editors can produce and publish ads. Viewers can only view.
  • For a paid plan, the customer is the workspace owner, or the business the workspace is used for. The owner is responsible for what members do in the workspace.
  • When a member is removed, they lose access to the workspace and its content.

5. Plans and prices

  • We offer a Free plan; Starter, Pro and Business plans, paid monthly or yearly; and Enterprise plans by agreement. Credit packs can be bought once, on any plan.
  • Our pricing page shows, for each plan, the price, how often you pay, the credits included each period, how many unused credits roll over, the seats, the features and any free trial. The checkout shows the exact amount before you pay.
  • Prices for consumers include VAT (or the equivalent sales tax where you live) where it applies. For business customers, tax is shown at checkout. It may be added, or reverse-charged, depending on your location and tax number.
  • You choose the currency at checkout. Your bank may charge you for currency conversion.
  • A discount code's conditions, such as how many periods it lasts, are shown with it. After that, the normal price applies.
  • If a price is clearly wrong because of an error, we will tell you. You can then pay the correct price or cancel and get a full refund.

6. Subscriptions renew automatically

  • Paid plans are subscriptions that renew automatically. At the end of each monthly or yearly period, your subscription renews for another period of the same length, and the price is charged to your payment method. This continues until you cancel.
  • Before you pay, we show you clearly, in one place: the plan, the price including tax, how often you will be charged, the date of the first payment, that the subscription renews automatically, and how to cancel. You confirm this before you pay. We then send you an email confirming the same information, with a copy of these terms.
  • Each period's plan credits are added when the period starts and its payment succeeds.
  • Upgrades take effect straight away. We charge the difference for the rest of the current period and add the extra credits; you see the amount before you confirm. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current period.
  • We send reminders before renewals as described in section 10.

7. Free trials

  • Some plans come with a free trial, for example 7 days on the Pro plan. The length of the trial and what it includes are shown before you start.
  • One free trial per person, per workspace and per payment method.
  • Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription starts automatically and the plan price is charged on the day the trial ends, then every month or year until you cancel. You see the date and the amount before you start the trial.
  • We email you at least 3 days before the trial ends, with the date, the price and how to cancel.
  • If you cancel during the trial, you pay nothing. You keep the trial until it ends and then move to the Free plan. Credits included in the trial end with it.

8. Cancelling your subscription

  • You can cancel at any time. You do not have to give a reason.
  • How: go to Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription. Cancelling takes no more steps than subscribing did. You can also send one message to [to be confirmed] from the email address on your account, saying that you want to cancel. If you bought through Paddle or Lemon Squeezy, you can also cancel from the link in their emails.
  • When it takes effect: at the end of the period you have already paid for. Until then you keep your plan, its features and its credits. There are no further charges. After that, your workspace moves to the Free plan.
  • We confirm the cancellation by email, with the date your plan ends. You can undo the cancellation before that date.
  • We do not refund the rest of a period you have paid for, except during a cancellation or cooling-off period (sections 9 and 10), where the law requires it, or where our Refund and Cancellation Policy says so.
  • Cancelling never creates a right to a refund for usage already consumed (section 11, "Non-refundable AI and infrastructure usage").

9. Your right to cancel (consumers)

If you are a consumer, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you the right to cancel a purchase within 14 days, starting the day after you buy. For a subscription that starts with a free trial, the 14 days start the day after you start the trial.

At checkout you ask us to start straight away, and you confirm that you understand what that means for your right to cancel:

  • Subscriptions (a service). If you cancel within 14 days, we refund what you paid, minus a proportionate amount for what you received before you told us. We work this out as the share of the period's plan credits you used, or the share of the period that had passed, whichever is higher. Once the service has been provided in full within the 14 days, for example once you have used all the credits included in the period, you can no longer cancel for that period.
  • Credit packs (digital content). If you have not used any of a pack's credits, you can cancel within 14 days and get a full refund. Once you use any credits from a pack, you lose the right to cancel that pack. We use your plan, welcome and promotional credits before your pack credits (section 11), so a pack stays unused for as long as possible.

To cancel, use Settings → Billing, write to [to be confirmed], or use the model cancellation form in our Refund and Cancellation Policy. We refund you within 14 days of the day you tell us, using the payment method you used, at no charge. Credits that came with a refunded purchase are removed from your balance.

If you live outside the UK, you keep any cancellation rights that the consumer law of your country gives you. Business customers do not have these statutory rights; our Refund and Cancellation Policy explains what we offer them.

10. Subscription rules under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024

The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 adds new rules for consumer subscriptions. They come into force in stages. Where these rules apply to your subscription, we will:

  • give you the key information before you subscribe (section 6), and the full information in a confirmation afterwards;
  • send you reminder notices before a free or discounted trial ends and before renewals, as the rules require (for yearly plans, before each renewal; for monthly plans, at least every six months). Each reminder gives the price, the payment date and how to cancel;
  • let you end your subscription easily, online in Settings → Billing or by one clear message to [to be confirmed], without giving a reason. We confirm the end of the contract in writing;
  • give you the cooling-off periods the rules provide: 14 days at the start of the subscription, and a new 14-day period at the renewals the rules specify (for example, when a trial turns into a paid subscription). If you cancel within a cooling-off period, we refund what you paid, minus a proportionate amount for what you used, worked out as in section 9.

Where these rules apply, they take priority over anything in these terms that is less favourable to you.

11. Credits

What credits are. Credits measure paid production work in the Service: for example voiceovers, AI images, AI video clips, music and extra languages. Planning, product capture, rendering, re-rendering and free edits are not charged. The price of each unit is published in the app.

Estimates and approvals.

  • Before anything is produced you see an itemised estimate. Nothing is charged until you approve it, in the app or by clearly agreeing in the chat.
  • On approval we reserve the estimated credits. Each finished step is charged from the reservation. Steps that fail are not charged. Credits not used return to your balance when production ends. You are never charged more than the amount you approved.
  • If the price of a unit changes, estimates you have already approved do not change.

Where credits come from.

  • Plan credits are added at the start of each billing period of a paid plan.
  • Credit-pack credits are added when you buy a credit pack.
  • Welcome and promotional credits are given free, for example when you sign up.

Credits are not money. Credits have no cash value. They are not electronic money. They cannot be exchanged for cash, sold, or moved to another workspace. They can only be used in the Service by the workspace that holds them. Refunds are only available as set out in section 9 and in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Rollover and expiry.

  • At the end of each period, unused plan credits roll over to the next period, up to the rollover limit of your plan. The rest expire. The pricing page shows each plan's rollover limit; some plans have none.
  • When a paid plan ends (because you cancel or a payment fails), its plan credits, including any that rolled over, expire at the end of the last paid period.
  • Credit-pack credits do not expire while your account is open. They stay with you if you change plan or move to the Free plan.
  • Welcome and promotional credits expire on any date stated when we give them. They are never refunded and may be removed if they were obtained by breaking these terms (for example, by opening several accounts).

Order of use. We use plan credits first, then welcome and promotional credits, then credit-pack credits.

Corrections. We may correct credits added by mistake. Credits that came with a payment that is refunded or reversed are removed.

Closing your account. Unused credits end when your account is closed. If you might be due a refund for an unused credit pack, ask for it before you close your account.

Non-refundable AI and infrastructure usage

Except where required by applicable law, fees attributable to AI usage, model/API calls, tokens or credits consumed, computing resources, cloud infrastructure, storage, bandwidth, processing, and other metered or third-party resources that have already been used, provisioned, or incurred are non-refundable.

Subscription fees attributable to services or resources already consumed during the applicable billing period are also non-refundable.

Cancellation of a subscription prevents future renewals but does not create a right to a refund for AI usage, infrastructure resources, credits, computing capacity, or other costs already consumed or incurred before cancellation.

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory rights available to customers under applicable consumer protection laws, including rights relating to unauthorized or duplicate charges, services not provided, or services that materially fail to conform to their description.

In practice: a refund within the 14-day cancellation period is reduced by what was used (section 9), and only credit packs with none of their credits used can be refunded in full (section 11).

12. Payments

  • You pay with the methods offered at checkout. You enter your payment details on the payment provider's own page. We never see or store your full card number.
  • By subscribing, you authorise the seller (section 13) to charge your payment method at the start of each period until you cancel.
  • Receipts and invoices are sent by email and are also in Settings → Billing.

13. Who sells to you (merchants of record)

Depending on where you are and how you pay, you buy either from us or from a reseller. The checkout page and your receipt say which.

  • Paddle or Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. If your checkout is run by Paddle or Lemon Squeezy, that company is the seller (the "merchant of record") of your subscription or credits. It takes your payment, charges and pays the sales tax, issues your invoice and handles refunds and billing questions for that purchase. Its buyer terms apply to the sale, and its privacy notice applies to the payment data it collects. We still provide the Service to you under these terms.
  • Other payment providers (for example Stripe, PayPal, Paymob or Tap). We are the seller. The provider processes the payment for us.

Your statutory rights, and the refunds in our Refund and Cancellation Policy, apply whoever the seller is. Where a merchant of record is the seller, we ask it to make the refund.

14. Failed payments

  • If a payment fails, we or the seller retry the payment and email you.
  • You have a grace period of 7 days. During it you keep your plan while you update your payment details in Settings → Billing. Credits for the new period are added once the payment succeeds.
  • If the payment has still not succeeded after 7 days, your subscription ends and your workspace moves to the Free plan. Your ads, uploads and credit-pack credits stay. Plan credits expire as described in section 11. You can subscribe again at any time.
  • If you think a charge is wrong, please contact us before disputing it with your bank. While a dispute is open we may pause paid features and hold the credits that came with the disputed payment.

15. Price and plan changes

  • We may change prices, or the credits and features included in a plan, for future periods.
  • We tell you by email, and in the app, at least 30 days before a price increase, or a change that reduces what you get, affects you. The change applies from your first renewal after that notice.
  • If you do not accept the change, cancel before it takes effect and you will not pay the new price.
  • Prices never change during a period you have already paid for.
  • Changes in your favour can apply straight away.

16. Your content and your rights

  • You keep all rights in the content you provide (links, uploads, text) and in the finished ads made for you, subject to third-party rights in any material you provide.
  • You grant us a licence to use your content only to provide the Service to you (capturing, processing, storing, producing and, when you ask, publishing your ads).
  • You confirm you own, or are authorised to use for advertising, the websites, apps, images, recordings, logos and trademarks you submit.
  • We do not use your content to train AI models.

17. Advertising standards and acceptable use

  • Ads made with the Service are your advertising. You are responsible for checking them before publication and for complying with the law and advertising rules where they run (in the UK, the CAP and BCAP Codes administered by the Advertising Standards Authority), and with the policies of the platforms you publish on.
  • The assistant only uses claims found in your product's own materials and flags absolute or unsubstantiated claims, but you remain responsible for substantiating every claim in your ads.
  • You must follow our AI & Advertising Policy (what you may make) and our Acceptable Use Policy (how you may use the Service, including publishing, spam and account sharing).

18. AI-generated content

Parts of each ad (for example people, scenes, voices and music) may be generated by AI. By default the Service adds a small "AI-generated" label to renders. You may turn it off where the platform and the law allow. You remain responsible for any disclosure the platform or the law requires.

19. Publishing to your social accounts

  • You can connect your own accounts on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and X (and other networks we add) and publish or schedule ads to them.
  • We act on your instruction. We publish only what you, or a member of your workspace allowed to publish, asks us to, at the time you choose.
  • You are responsible for what you publish: the ad, its caption and hashtags, any disclosure that it is an ad or branded content, and its compliance with the law.
  • Each platform's own terms apply between you and that platform, including its community guidelines and advertising and branded-content rules. You must have the right to post on each account you connect.
  • We are not responsible for a platform's decisions, such as removing a post, limiting reach or restricting your account, or for a platform's outages or changes to its service. If publishing fails, we tell you.
  • We use only the permissions the platform grants and that publishing needs. Access tokens are stored encrypted. You can disconnect an account in the app at any time, and you can also revoke our access in the platform's settings.
  • YouTube. If you connect a YouTube channel, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's use of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke our access at any time at Google security settings.

20. Availability and changes to the Service

  • We work hard to keep the Service available and secure, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to pause it for maintenance.
  • Unless an Enterprise order form says otherwise, we do not offer a service level commitment.
  • We may improve or change features, and change the AI providers we use. If a change significantly reduces what you pay for, we tell you in advance and you can cancel and get a refund for the unused part of a period you have paid for.
  • If we stop providing the Service altogether, we give you at least 30 days' notice and refund the unused part of any period you have paid for and any unused credit packs.
  • Advertising results are never guaranteed.

21. Suspending and closing accounts

  • You can close your account at any time in Settings → Your data. Closing your account cancels any subscription straight away and deletes your content, and unused credits end. If you might be due a refund (section 9), ask for it before you close.
  • We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms or our policies, non-payment, fraud, a legal requirement, or a risk to the Service or to others. We give notice and reasons where it is reasonable and lawful to do so. You can ask us to review the decision at [to be confirmed].
  • If we close your account when you have not broken these terms, we refund the unused part of any period you have paid for and any unused credit packs.

22. Our responsibility for loss or damage

For everyone. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

If you are a consumer

  • We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
  • You have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. For example, services must be provided with reasonable care and skill, and digital content must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. Nothing in these terms affects those rights. Citizens Advice can tell you more.
  • If digital content we supply damages a device or digital content that belongs to you, and this is caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation.

If you are a business customer

  • We are not liable for: indirect or consequential loss; loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings; the results of your advertising; or a platform's decisions about your content or account. If data is lost or damaged, our only duty is to restore it from our latest backup where we can.
  • Subject to the "For everyone" paragraph, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of £100 and the fees you paid or had to pay us in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim.
  • Terms implied by law are excluded as far as the law allows.
  • You will compensate us for claims by third parties that arise from your content, the ads you publish, or your breach of these terms.

23. Personal data

Our Privacy Notice explains how we use personal data. If you are a business customer and we process personal data in your content on your behalf, we do so as your processor under our data processing terms, available from [to be confirmed].

24. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for legal, regulatory or product reasons. The date at the top shows the current version. For changes that matter to you, we tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect, unless the law requires a change sooner. If you do not accept a change, you can cancel before it takes effect. If you are a consumer and the change is significantly to your disadvantage, we refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.

25. Law, courts and complaints

  • Complaints. Please tell us first at [to be confirmed]. Most problems can be fixed quickly.
  • Law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
  • Consumers. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring them in your local courts. If you live outside the UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country, and you can bring proceedings in your local courts where those laws allow.
  • Business customers. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, including over non-contractual disputes.
  • Other terms. We may transfer this agreement to another organisation, and we will tell you if we do. If you are a consumer and unhappy with the transfer, you may end the agreement and get a refund for the unused part of any period you have paid for. You need our consent to transfer it. No one else has rights under these terms (the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 does not apply). If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies. If we delay enforcing these terms, we can still enforce them later. For business customers, these terms are the whole agreement about the Service, but this does not limit liability for fraud.
  • Contact. [to be confirmed].
